CHANGES TO FCAT 2.0 - The state department of education is making changes to the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) 2.0. Students in grades 3-5 are tested in reading and math. Grade 5 students are also tested in science. Grade 4 students are given a writing assessment. The FCAT Writing is administered during the window of Feb. 27 - 29. The FCAT assessments of reading, mathematics, and science are administered during the window of April 16 - 27.
It's important that students are here daily for instruction, complete homework assignments, and spend time reading for pleasure in order that they can do their very best. This year, the points need to score Levels 3-5 have been increased. If your child took FCAT last year, it will be more difficult to maintain or improve their scores.

New Website Initiative
Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year and our new website! Broward Schools has developed a new initiative which provides all schools in Broward County with great websites - at no out-of-pocket cost to the school. One of the goals of this initiative is to enhance communication between all stakeholders. Our school is so proud to be able to participate.
