OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR - On Friday, April 12th, we honored our Oustanding Volunteers of the Year who were chosen by our stakeholders to represent Central Park Elementary for the 2012-2013 school year. We want to thank them for their continual hardwork and dedication by supporting our teachers and students in the classroom, assisting in the carloop, and generating funds for academic programs. They are:

SUMMER PROGRAMS - The District has launched a new Summer Programs Online Resource, which provides information about summer programs and camps, including academic enrichment programs and school camps. CPE PARENT SURVEY - We want to thank our families for completing the annual SAC Parent Involvement Survey. Here are the results, which we have shared with our school staff and School Advisory Council (SAC) and Forum (SAF). We are currently working on a plan to address areas of growth and are reviewing your suggestions. More information will be forthcoming.
PARENT WORKSHOPS/SURVEY FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES - Click here to view the Parent Education Workshops for Families of Students with Disabilities for January - June 2013. Parents and students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) have the opportunity to tell us if their school is supporting your involvement in your child's education by completing a survey. Go on line to www.esesurvey.com to complete the survey. Deadline to complete survey is June 30, 2013.
LEGISLATIVE EDUCATION & ACTION ONLINE RESOURCE - Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is pleased to share a new online resource - the BCPS Legislative Education & Action Online Resource, which is available on the District’s website (www.browardschools.com). The BCPS Legislative Online Resource provides information regarding proposed legislation that may impact our public school system and provides our community the opportunity to send correspondence to our State Legislators. CPE SUMMER CAMP NEWS- Summer Camp registration will be available Mondays through Thursdays from 2:30- 5:00 PM in the school's cafeteria starting February 11th. Payments for session #1 must be complete by April 30 2013.
SPAR (School Public Accountability Report) - The No Child Left Behind federal legislation and Florida statute require that schools provide parents an annual school status report at the beginning of each school year. The Florida Department of Education has produced a No Child Left Behind/School Public Accountability Report for each school containing all the required No Child Left Behind indicators, including the indicators for Annual Measurable Objectives (AMOs). The Florida Department of Education has recently posted the NCLB/SPARs online. CODE OF STUDENT CONDUCT - The Code of Student Conduct Handbook for the 2012-2013 school year will be distributed electronically. It is posted for your review on the Broward Schools web site at http://browardschools.com/
