CODE OF STUDENT CONDUCT 2014-2015 - "Parents and students, on July 1, 2014, the 2014-2015 Code of Student Conduct Handbook will be posted on Broward Schools' website at Parents and students may also access the Code of Student Conduct Handbook through the BEEP Portal or use their smartphones to scan the Quick Response Code (QRC) on any of the Code Book posters displayed throughout a school's campus."

MULTICULTURAL FAIR - On Friday, May 2nd, our students dressed in costumes from all over the world. They studied various cultures and set up displays of artifacts from that culture. Students danced, sang, and paraded through the cafeteria in their cultural attire. They really understood what a melting pot our country has become.  A BIG THANK YOU to Mrs. Cuevas and her committee for coordinating this spectacular event, our teachers and students for their beautiful artifacts, our volunteers who assisted with set up and clean up, and our parents for sharing artifacts with our students from their native country.

SUMMER READING 2014 - Just Read, Families! is a summer reading program which provides parents with information about actively reading with their children during the summer months.  Research shows that children who do not continue reading through the summer can lose a month or more of progress made during the school year. By encouraging their children to read, parents are playing a critical role in achieving our goal of having every child reading at or above grade level. Now is the time to take advantage of the many activities and resources available on this website. Keep your children engaged in reading!  Children are a precious gift, and the opportunity to inspire a love of reading is both a great honor and an extraordinary responsibility. CPE IS GOING ONLINE IN 2014-2015 - Beginning the 2014-2015 school year, CPE will be going online only when collecting monies for grade level activities and field trips. Please prepare an online account this year by going to Detailed directions are available here.  Also, we will be going paperless, with the exception of documents that need to be returned to CPE.  If you are not receiving our emails, please join our email list located on this page.  If you have not accessed our mobile app, please visit your app store on your cell phone and type in Central Park Elementary.  Our mobile app is a picture of an owl.

CPE PTA MEMBERSHIP - On May 13th, PTA will be voting for the new PTA Executive Board for the 2014-2015 school year.  You must be a member of PTA in order to vote in the elections.  If you would like to vote in the elections and you haven't joined PTA this school year, you may do so by submitting your payment of $7.00 CASH ONLY on or before April 14th.  Please send your payment to the front office in an envelope marked PTA Membership.  You will not be able to vote if payment is received after April 14th.  You will be issued a card which is valid through September 2014.  The PTA Membership Committee thanks you in advance for your support.

REPLACEMENT FOR FCAT - The Florida Department of Education has made a deicsion on the replacement assessment for FCAT in 2014-2015. Attached is the communication to parents from the FLDOE.

CLASS SIZE AND STUDENT PLACEMENT - Due to the State Class Size Reduction law, students may need to be moved between teachers after the start of school to ensure compliance with the required student limits.  These limits are 18 students for Pre-Kindergarten to grade 3; 22 students for grades 4 to 8; and 25 students for grades 9 to 12 in core classes.   Please know that students’ needs, will continue to be met through proper instruction and services.  Additional information on core classes or anything related to Class Size Reduction is available on the Class Size Reduction website at
